Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using The Demon Codex — Relic Series Generator (the "Service", "App", "Platform", operated by Denomic Designs / The Demon Codex Team, "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, signing in with Google, or forging digital relics, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in via Google Authentication, or generating prompts, you certify that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) and possess the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

2. Intellectual Property & License to Generated Relics

The Demon Codex utilizes generative AI models (including Google Gemini) to assist users in creating dark fantasy prompts, visual thumbnails, and thematic lore:

• Your Content & Prompts: You retain rights in the original text inputs, prompts, and custom lore you submit.
• Generated Outputs: To the maximum extent permitted by law, you are granted full permission to use, share, publish, modify, and incorporate the generated prompts and resulting imagery into personal or commercial creative projects (e.g. YouTube thumbnails, dark fantasy novels, tabletop campaigns, digital art portfolios), with optional attribution appreciated.
• Codex Platform Assets: The Demon Codex brand, trademarks, UI code, audio synth engine, custom styling, and proprietary visual shaders remain the intellectual property of the operators.

3. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in accordance with all applicable laws and ethical guidelines. You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Manifest or attempt to generate sexually explicit, non-consensual, violent gore, hateful, or defamatory content.
• Violate the rights or intellectual property of third parties.
• Distribute malware, automate scraping in violation of our rate limits, or reverse-engineer the application infrastructure.
• Attempt to bypass API spending caps or authentication mechanisms.

4. Subscriptions, Payments & Token Packs

We provide both complimentary access and optional upgraded subscription tiers (e.g. Cultist Initiate, Archdemon Sovereign, Arcane Token Packs) handled securely via Stripe:

• Billing: Recurring subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You can cancel at any time via the billing portal.
• Refunds: Digital token packs and active subscription periods are non-refundable once computational GPU resources have been consumed, except as required by applicable law.

5. Third-Party Integrations & Google Services

The Service integrates with third-party APIs including Google Gemini, Google Identity Services, Google Drive, and Firebase. Your use of features connecting to Google accounts is subject to the Google Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY, THAT GENERATIVE OUTPUTS WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS OR FACTUAL INACCURACIES, OR THAT SERVERS WILL BE ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEMON CODEX, ITS OPERATORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at our discretion. Any material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
